Hello All.
We are the new members of Reading Circle Community (RCC) from English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the sixth meeting.
In this sixth meeting, we discussed a novel, ANIMORPHS - THE DECISION By K. A. Apelgate

Here are the summary of the novel that we discussed:

The story tells about the story of Aximili-Esgarrouth- Isthill, brother of Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul. He has friends, human friends, such as Prince Jake, Cassie, Tobias, Rachel, and Marco. Together they had experiences about the Ascalin incident, that they were betrayed by one of their own. Aximili-Esgarrouth- Isthill is the only Andalite presently located on planet Earth. He and his friends lost a Dome ship in orbit above the planet. The Yeerks destroyed it. They lost his brother, Prince Elfangor, in that battle, too. But before he died, Elfangor broke our law and gave the secret Andalite morphing power to five human youths. The Yeerks are after the earth. They are invading Earth in their usual style. The Yeerk parasite slugs have an easy time entering human heads, wrapping themselves around human brains, enslaving humans as they did the Hork-Bajir and the Gedds.
Aximili or “Ax”, works with human. In his work place, he meets with Marco, that will be his friends. After a few days he works there, he meets with Visser Three, the leader of invasion of earth. Ax becomes angry because he wants to revenge his sister that was killed by Visser. But Visser just goes by his self.
After a few days, they are attacked by the kafit bird in their work place. The kafit bird is asked by Visser to attack them. Ax that wants to protect his friends fights with Visser Three. They have a serious fighting. At the end, Ax wins and leaves Visser in the trash.
After the fight with Vassier, they meet at the barn where Cassie and her father care for sick or injured nonhuman animals. It is called the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. It is a large, dark building made of wood. Within it are numerous cages made of steel wire. And within the cages are the sick animals. Tobias was high in the rafters. From up there he can see out through a sort of window and can warn us if anyone is approaching. Cassie was working, pushing piles of dirty hay with a very large, three-pronged fork. Prince Jake would occasionally lift something out of her way.
And then they gather to discuss about what have happened to them. They also discuss the plans to stop Vassier. After having a long discussion, they have the first plan that Ax will morph Jake. But Cassie gives another idea that they have to get Aldershot’s DNA. Finally, they agree with Cassie’s idea and then they go to the hospital. In the hospital, they separated and Ax goes by himself. Unfortunately, Ax meet with the Controller. To escape from the Controller, Ax fights with the Controller.
In the middle of their fights, there is sound of the police. The police will come. To escape from the police, Ax changes his shape into mosquitos and runs away. When Ax runs away, he feels hungry. Then he finds his food, blood. When he was eating his food, suddenly he was in the space, and he thinks he will die
The title of this novel is ANIMORPHS-THE DECISION that was written by K.A Applegate is very wonderful story. I have read from chapter 13 until 18 of the novel. In general, from chapter 13 until 18, it tells about that Animorphs especially Ax were separated from his friends. He wants to come to the his own place. But he can not do it because there were war after Andhalite ship were marooned. In the place he meets with Prince Jake and Leerans. Prince Jake Leeran helps him in order to he can come back to his place in the Earth. But before it happends he must help Prince Jack and Leerans to fight with Yeerk. Because Before he can comes back, the war happened between Leeran and Yeerk. Actually, he wants to help Leeran to fight Yeerk but, he can not do anything to help Leeran. For the first Ax only can see and hide when the war happened. Some of members of Yeerk dead in the war. The leader from Animorphs is prince Jake. At a moment, The rock bowl almost sinks, now they must have an idea fastly to make the rock bowl comes back to the surface. Finally the Andhalite and Leerans stood exploded it make the rock bowl and they landed. But one of their friends lost named they can not find Tobias. Tobias was dead because he has eaten by Taxxons before the rock bowl landed.
The Animorphs go through the major landmass of Leera try to find friendly Andalites. The Animorphs are beginning to disappear into thin air one by one, beginning with Tobias. Unfortunately, Tobias mysteriously disappears, but the others don't know where he is gone and are forced to move on without him. Ax is struck with a sudden realization, and the Animorphs follow him out into the ocean.
It was a big ocean. It stretched forever, brilliant blue, far more vivid and bright than the oceans of Earth, which are usually gray, but it was just endless miles of muddy shallows, overgrown with rushes and reeds and strange yellow trees that swirled horizontally. Suddenly, Rachel disappears. First Tobias and then Rachel. The Animorphs morph and being the sharks. There are four sharks swam out into the Leeran ocean which actually there should be six sharks.
When they swam in the wonderful and brilliant ocean, they saw four Leerans. The Leerans were mostly yellow. They had skin that was slimy, as if covered with ooze, yet rough in texture, like gravel. They had large, webbed back legs. For arms they had four tentacles arrayed around their plump, barrel-shaped bodies. The head was quite large, with a bulge at the back. It sat right on the shoulders. There was no neck. The face bulged outward and seemed to have just two features, a huge, wide, almost ridiculous mouth. And big, bulging eyes of a green that seemed almost to be lit from inside.
The Leerans asked Animorphs to carry their DNA and help to free their people from the Yeerks. The Animorph rescue a group of Leerans from Yeerk control. Then, The Leerans agree to be acquired in order to help fight off the Yeerk invasion.
In their new Leeran morphs, the Animorphs enter a Leeran city. The Andalites based there inform the Animorphs that they have planted a bomb to explode the continent, just as Ax had suspected, but that it needs to be activated. The Andalite scientists also theorize that the Animorphs' unexplained disappearances are the result of a "snapback" effect, meaning that when the Animorphs disappear they are reappearing either on Earth or in Zero-Space. The Animorphs volunteer to activate the bomb and Suddenly Marco disappears. The Animorphs disappear one by one, Tobias, Rachel and then Marco, So, who is the next one? They felt very afraid and thought that they might be disappearing too eventually.
Prince Jake, Cassie, and Ax were surrounded by Andalites. They were cross-examined by the sub's science officer. They were bombarded by questions from Galuit and a counterintelligence officer for an hour. It was nerve-racking. But at least it kept their mind off the awful suspense of waiting for another one of them to disappear too.
Then, Galuit said that all the Animorphs there would disappear like their friend, Tobias, Rachel and Marco. But, Prince Jake shrugged and claimed that they would not disappear too.
Soon after they set out to activate the bomb, they meet a Leeran-Controller who reads their minds and alerts the Yeerks of the bomb. When they reach the explosives, Jake disappears leaving Ax alone. He activates the bomb but a platoon of armed Hork-Bajir appear in an attempt to disarm it. A Hork-Bajir fires at him but he disappears right before the beam hits him. The bomb goes off right after he disappears. All the Animorphs arrived back to the hospital where they were before they got sucked into Z-Space. Hewlett Aldershot III wakes up, apparently healthy again.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the fifth meeting.
In this fifth meeting, we discussed a novel, ANIMORPH VOLUME 01 “THE INVASION” by K.A. Applegate

Here are the summary of the novel that we discussed:
(CHAPTER 1 -7)
This novel tells about life of aliens and relationship between human and aliens. Human does not only think about their life, but they also pay attention about other life. People who live in the world,they pay attention each other.
Here, writer tells about short story of this novel. In this novel, there are humans that have relationship friends. There are jake, marco, tobias, cassie, and rachel. They always go anywhere together.
Jake is a person that has good person. He care of other people. When someone needs him, he will help someone. Marco is clever in video games. He often gets good point when he played the game. Marco and jake often spend their time to play game i the mall. When they was bored, they go home, they always came bsck to go home through construction site. There are pieces of bottles such as wine, beer, wisky, etc.
Tobias does not care of person’s problem. Jake met tobias in his school. Tobias is a new student in jake’s school. Jake helped tobias when two big guys chaos blond tobias’s hair in the bowl. Tobias and jake become friend.
Rachel is pretty person. she is always pay attention her fashion. She used wearing that always model like in magazine model. In the last, cassie. She wears short hair. She choices good word when she want to talk something with other people. people like her.
Jake, marco, tobias, and rachel, and cassie often go to the mall. They were through construction site. One day, they see something on the sky. First, marco see airplane, suddenly he stopped walking. Jake asked him, why he stopped. Marco sees kind of alien turn down to earth. Arrived in the earth, alien say hello to them. Name of alien is andalite. He comes to earth to help human from dangerous of other aliens. Not all of alien wants to help  human. Most of them want to disturb people. Andalite wants to help human. He was separate with his family for helping human from dangerous of other aliens. Alien/andalite was sick. Jake compassionates to jake. He wants to help andalite from other aliens. He does not know the way to help him. All of them want to be the power people. andalite said that if they want to become power people, they  must become morphing, to become a morph, they must become animal. They do not have time to think over it. they should decided it early. Tobias does not care of power people. he does not want to become an animal person.
A few minutes later, other aliens like visser three come to earth. Andalite asked them who wants to be an animal. Then, jake was ready to become an animal for helping human and Andalite. Finally, jake’s friend want to become animal too.
For becoming animal, they toch other creature. Visser three comes to the earth. He looking for andalite. While andalite looking at visser three, andalite told them to run away. Jake and other friends do not leave andalite alone, but andaliti was force them to leave him aloe. Visser three is really dangerous. They saw visser three  took andalite very high and then fall down andalite. Jake was close his eyes, when andalite fell down. Finally, andalite died.
 They run away, they try to save themselves from visser three. Visser three chased them. They was succed to save themselves. On the morning, tobias comes to jake’s home. He wants to say something about him self. It is really secret. He does not want other people know about his real life.
Jake heard tobias. Tobias is leaved by his parents since he was still child. He lived with his uncle and his uncle and his aunt. Now, he is not human, he becomes a cat. Jake did not believe about his story. Then, he change a cat in front of jake. He has fur, gray coland has mustache, etc. Tobias becomes a cat. How poor he is.

(CHAPTER 8-12)
Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Marco, and Tobias are all walking home one night after a day of loitering in front of the food court. They decide to cut through an abandoned construction site to get home faster, but then a UFO shows up. Inside is an alien who is basically a blue centaur with extra eyes and a sword for a tail. His name is Elfangor, and he is dying and its 1996 so nobody can call an ambulance or even take pictures.
Elfangor explains that the whole planet is being invaded by Yeerks and there's nothing anyone can do about it. To fight the Yeerks, Elfangor gives the kids the power to turn into any animal that they touch, because apparently a bird, a bear, an elephant, a tiger, and a gorilla can take down an entire alien army equipped with flying saucers and lasers and whatever ridiculous thing Visser Three is building this week. VisserThree himself shows up in his totally awesome Andalite body and proceeds to morph into a monster and eat Elfangor alive. You know, for kids!
So they run for it and somehow manage to escape with their lives. Now aware of the alien threat, they realize that 1) tons of people around them, including Jake's brother Tom and their Vice Principal, Mr. Chapman, are Controllers, 2) The Sharing is a front for the Yeerk Army Recruitment Center and 3) They are totally boned.

Hello All.
We are the new members of Reading Circle Community (RCC) from English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the fourth meeting.
In this fourth meeting, we discussed a novel, Beast Quest: The Golden Armour

Here are the summary of the novel that we discussed:

Tom as he pushed past a branch and found himself gazing out over open countryside.  Tom took one final glance back into the sinister jungle, thinking about his battle with Claw, the giant monkey, and remembering how he had just managed to snatch the golden chainmail from the evil Beast.
Silver, Elenna’s faithful wolf, and Storm, Tom’s noble stallion, emerged from the jungle, too. Silver bounded and barked joyfully, and Storm neighed and pranced.
The Dark Wizard had kidnapped their friend and protector, the good Wizard Aduro. Malvel had appeared to them in a vision after Tom’s defeat of Clow, showing them torn strips of Aduro’s red cloak. Was the good Wizard even still alive? But whatever fate had befallen Aduro, Tom knew that he still had to fulfil his Quest and unite the six parts of the golden armour that Malvel had stolen and scattered across the kingdom. Aduro had told them it was the only way they could rescue him. Unless they succeeded, Avantia would never be safe from the six evil Beasts set loose by Malvel.
Tom unrolled the magical map of Avantia that Aduro had given him when his adventures first began. A tiny point of golden light was glowing on the map. As Tom and Elenna peered, it pulsed and grew larger until they could make out the shape of a golden breastplate. He had to get to Errinel quickly- but what kind of Beast would be waiting there for them?  And what harm had it already done to his home and his family?
Tom and Elenna sat astride Storm’s broad back as he centered along, with Silver loping at his side. Despite the perils that lay ahead, Tom was glad to be heading home. A thrill of excitement shot through him at the thought of seeing his uncle and aunt again. But this would be no ordinary homecoming.  The image of a golden breastplate had brought him here, and that could only mean one of Malvel’s evil Beasts was lurking near the village.
 There was something wrong, there was too quiet. Tom peered at the birds as they approached. He expected them to take fright and flap away over the fields. But they didn’t move. Tom slid down from the saddle and walked up to the birds, then let out a breath as he realised they were just statues. Only a few moments later Tom saw something strange ahead of them in a nearby field. He pointed a shaking finger over the fence.  Three grey figures stood unmoving in the newly ploughed field : a team of oxen and a man. All had been turned to stone.
Tom stood on the bottom bar of the fence and stared out across the desolate field. The beast could still be nearby he said worriedly.” And it could turn us into stone! He strode back towards storm. “ I have to be prepared for anything. He slipped on the heavy chainmail and pulled on the golden helmet. Now he would feel no fear and be able to see the beast if it was still lurking. He climbed back into the saddle, slipping his shield over his left arm and loosening his sword in its scabbard.
Elenna scrambled up behind him, her bow ready on her shoulder, her quiver of arrows to hand. “go boy, tom said to storm, nudging with his heels. The stallion backed away from the fence. Then, with a surge of power, he leapt forward and took the fence in one long, smooth jump.
Fearlessly, strom centered towards the frozen ston figures, the ever loyal silver by his side. Tom could feel elenna’s fingers slipping on the polished chainmail as they rode, but he had no fear of her falling- she was too good a rider for that. He expected an attrack from the beast, but they crossed the field without harm. The two animals were uneeasy, however, as if they sensed that danger was close at hand.
Everything was eerily silent as they came to a stop near the stone figures. Tom and elenna slide down from the saddle. Strom neighed nervously and backed away. Silver circled the man and his oxen, sniffing the air, his ears down and the hair along his back as stiff as wire.
“it’s farmer gretlin! Tom cried, as he and elenna drew closer. Cautiously, he reached out and touched the stone man’s chest. It was cold.
Elenna frowned. “ he looks happy,” she said, as she gazed into the farmer’s face. “I don’t understand.
Why would someone who is about to be turned to stone be so happy?”
Malvel’s beast are usually terrifying,” tom said. He felt confused. “This must have been done by something that looks harmless, but isn’t.”
 Something beautiful ,even,” added Elenna.
Tom gazed sadly into the farmer’s face. Suddenly Elenna said urgently. Tom rapped his knuckles against the statue’s arm. Suddenly he noticed a hairline crack in the stone chest- just above the man’s hearth. “There he said. He lifted his sword and carefully placed the lethal tip against the crack. Elenna said it is dangerous, if you slip- if you make one wrong move – the blade will go into his heart”.  Tom also said “ we can’t leave him like this , and we need him to tell us what the beast lokks like.”
He struck the hilt a second time. The stone rang but the crack held. This was no time to give up. Tom hit a third time. He saw the crack widen. Then the stone shell shattered into fragments and trumbled to the ground. Farmer Gretlin’s chest gave a great heave as he sucked air into his lungs and fell forward onto his hands and knees, gasping and coughing. He was alive.
Tom took a water bottle from storm’s saddlebag and bent down to give it to the gasping farmer. As he drank, Elenna stood over him, an arrow at the ready, her keen eyes scanning the empaty field. “Who are you?” Farmer Gretline asked, still breathing heavily. Tom took off his helmet and grinned. “Tom” exclaimed the farmer. “you’ve saved my life”! help me up.” He put a hand on tom’s shoulder and got shakily to his feet. “What did this to you?” Elenna asked. The farmer gave her a curious look. “ and who are you?”
“ She is my friend, Elenna, Tom said. “ can you tell me us what happened?. The farmer’s eyes narrow. “There was fog over the marsh, he said. And a tall lady dressed in black.” A shudder went through him. “ She had no face, just a huge green eye. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. An then I couldn’t move.” He smiled gratefully at them.” Until you come to my aid.” His hearth began to race as a familiar cruel voice whispered in his ear. “Would you like to meet Soltra the stone charmer face to face?”
“Malvel! Tom spun round, but saw nothing. “ I’m not afraid of you, or any of your evil Beasts.”
The dark wizard let out a laugh like the hissing of snakes. Tom gripped his sword, wishing he could put the cold steel into Malvel’s wicked hearth. “the beast is called Soltra.” Said to Elenna, as she came back.
Tom and Elenna helped the farmer across the ploughed field, storm and silver on either side, then walked along the winding road that led to the village. Tom gazed around, memories flooding back, as the familiar rooftops and chimneys of errinel came into sight above the hedgerows and trees.
Soon they came to a dell filled with a tangel of ivy and briars. There was no sign of silver. A few moments later, a sharp bark roke the silence. Tom struggled to his feet as Aunt Maria emerged from the cover of the trees, her face filled with joy and concern. And right behind her was Uncle Henry. They were save!
Tom has just met his uncle and aunt who survive from Soltra, the stone charmer. Some of the villagers who managed to runaway are survive. Tom tells to all of people who survive that he and Elenna are there to kill the stone Charmer and the evil Beast. Afterwards, Tom and the villagers return to the blacksmith’s house to arrange a plan to beat Soltra.
One of the villager tells Tom that the stone charmer came when the sun set. Tom then sounds out his plan to lead the villagers to the shores of the lake for safety. His uncle did not agree at first but Tom told him that the water has the healing power, even though he does not really believe in that myth.
Soon, people are gathering up in the lake and make tent and camp fire. Tom and Elenna sat around Uncle Henry and Aunt Maria. Uncle Henry asked Tom to stay after he has defeated the Beast, but in fact, Tom cannot because has to find the rest of the golden armour.
As soon as all of the people gone to bed, Tom and Elenna take turn to wake up. Then Elenna asked him whether Soltra would come or not. Tom certainly hopes so, and he told her how much he wants to beat the Beast which has attacked his home village.
As soon as they woke up in the next day, Tom was told that the day is his birthday. So many things happened lately that made him forget about days. Aunt Maria was sad to know that they could not celebrate her nephew’s birthday. However, there was something more crucial that they have to concern about.
The sun has risen, and villagers return to the village to discuss about the next plan. Elenna shows her fear that there is nothing the villagers can do to stop Soltra. Tom agrees that and told Elenna about his plan to slip away at the time the villagers gather up, so that they can beat the Beast by themselves.
The next day, when Tom and Elenna were starting their plan to slip away, Uncle Henry found it out. He understood Tom’s intention to do that, so before Tom left the village, he intended to show something to him, a gift from his father which was left in the forge. Tom and Elenna followed him to the forge. Soon, after trying hard to dig the earth, finally they found a square wooden box.
Tom got a compass from his father who had long gone. His father believed that compass would help him in danger and also would lead him into his destiny. Tom brought that compass to his quest in seeking Soltra, the beast, to the marsh. Tom with his friends, Ellena  and Silver, and his horse, Storm came into the fog. The fog was really thick and the ground is wet. Storm felt anxious and didn’t want to continue the journey. Tom asked Ellena to stay and keep Silver and Stone. Tom went alone to the fog. Suddenly he heard a very lovely voice that asked him to keep walking and come to the voice. However, Tom was trapped into the oozing mud. He struggled to get out. But the more he moved the deeper he got into the mud. He felt anger and despair. but suddenly there was an arrow that was tight in a rope got into the mud, Ellena must helped him.
He reached the rope, and Silver pulled him out.  He could got out from the mud, but he did not allow Ellena to come to him because the danger. Suddenly Tom remembered Arcta, a good beast that gave him an eagle’s feather. As he held that feather, Arcta appeared from the Fog. However, Tom saw another shape. He heard a lovely song asked him to come closer. Arcta roared to warn him, but Tom ignored it. Tom moved forward to Soltra and gaze into her great lovely eyes.
The weather was foggy. Tom needed to use sunlight in order to defeat Soltra. He saw the needle of the compass showed danger sign. Soon after that, Soltra came and attacked him with her whip. He needed to get closer to Soltra if he wanted to kill her. While trying to do that, suddenly Soltra appeared again and hit him in his back. Tom couldn’t do anything.
Fortunately, Arcta, a giant lived in the mountain, came and helped Tom. He covered Tom’s body and cleaned up the fog around Tom’s body. Now Tom could see Soltra, but he made a mistake. He saw Soltra eyes directly. As the result, Soltra’s power hypnotized him; he felt cold and numb.
Luckily he could force his mind to go away from Soltra’s magic. He still tried to kill Soltra; he needed the sunlight, but the afternoon sunlight would come soon. Tom got an idea. He angled his sword to get the sunlight reflection, and suddenly reflected it to Soltra’s eyes.
Soltra shouted angrily, feeling pain all over her body. Even in that condition, she could still catch and chock him in his throat. Arcta came and hit her with his big arm. Tom tried to catch more light and finally he could. He angled it straight to Soltra’s eyes that made her explode. Her body broke into dust.
Tom said thank you to Arcta and came back to his friends, Ellena, Storm, and Silver. They went back to Errinel. People of Errinel greeted him as soon as he arrived in the village, but Tom could not stay there. His friends and he had to continue the journey to defeat The Dark Wizard, Malvel, and to find their missing friend who was being kidnapped by Malvel, Aduro. They were to welcome new journey.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the third meeting.
In this third meeting, we discussed a novel, Animorphs “The Secret” by K. A. Applegate

Here are the summary of the novel that we discussed:

Five ordinary kids and a young Andalite called Ax, against all the might of the Yeerk empire. All them called Animorphs . they are a handful kids—Jake, Rachel, Marcho, Tobias, Ax, and Casie. All of them are trying to fight the Yeerk and the controller. The Yeerk is a parasitic species from a far-distant planet. All they are is little gray slugs and in their natural state they look like big snails without the shell. The Yeerks don't live out their lives as slugs. They are parasites which enter the head of another species, flatten themselves out, and wrap themselves around the brain. And then they will take control. That's what they called as a Controller. A human who isn't exactly human anymore or a member of any species that is controlled by the Yeerk in its head.
The kids have some special powers to fight the Yeerk and the controller. They fight them together but it is useless if they do that alone. They fight in the hope that someday soon, the Andalites will return and help them. It was an Andalite prince named Elfangor who gave them the powers. He was dying, desperate and wanted to do something to help doomed humanity. Elfangor gave them the power to morph. It can be used to absorb the DNA of any animal that tey could touch to become that animal. So they fight the Yeerks and all their Controllers. The human-Controllers who may once have been our friends and relations. The evil, cannibalistic Taxxon-Controllers, those huge centipedes with their open, gnashing mouths and foul smell. And the deadly, dangerous, but formerly good creatures called Hork-Bajir— the enslaved foot soldiers of the Yeerk empire.
The Yeerks are everywhere. The school bus driver, the police officer in the patrol car, the minister in the pulpit, the newsman on TV, the rock star in the music video, the person who smiles at you when you ride by on your bike, your teacher, your friend, your sister, your mother and father and any one of them might be a Controller.
They fight Visser Three. The leader of the Yeerk invasion of Earth. He is the only Andalite-Controller in existence and the only Yeerk who has the power to morph. He is the murderer of Elfangor, a killer, a destroyer and the creature who would make slaves of all humans and destroy the earth planet. Visser will not stop the invasion unless someone stops him or they stop him.
When Rachel and Cassie have to morph a rat, they just need an animal's DNA then they touch it and focusing mind on the animal. That’s a way to make them morph. When the animal gets kind of sleepy, kind of dopey, in a minute it’s all over and a new DNA pattern is swimming around inside them. Then Cassie focused her thoughts, forming a mental picture of the rat. And then she felt the change begin. It also happened to Rachel. She was shrinking very fast into kind of short but a lot bigger than a rat. Then they try to find the maze.
Cassie gets into the maze and she had to figure out why Courtney couldn't find the nuts. She should be able to smell the nuts but she also cannot smell them, not at all.
Cassie looked around, puzzled. Then she noticed the breeze, she aimed her rat eyes upward. There, a million miles up, as far away as the moon, was a ceiling fan. It's blowing the scent of the nuts away. She was feeling pretty satisfied with her insight when two things happened at once. First, Courtney came zooming around the corner of the maze. The second thing was that she heard a loud crash, a roar of loud laughter, and the rushing approach of footsteps. Courtney froze and stared at Cassie. She stared at her. Then she looked back at Rachel. Rachel was frozen, same as Cassie.
That evening, everyone came over. They usually hook up at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. She was cleaning the cages when the others started to arrive. It was a raccoon cage, to be specific. Then, Jake and Marco came through the small side door of the barn. Jake was in the lead, as usual.
Right on cue, we heard a flutter of wings. A hawk shot in through the open hayloft above. It turned sharply, killed its speed, swept its talons forward, and landed neatly on a rafter. It was a red-tailed hawk, mostly brown on its back, a lighter, mottled brown and tan beneath. The bird took its name from its tail feathers, which were the color of rust.
Tobias is the fifth human member of our group. Even though, he's not entirely human anymore. See, if you stay more than two hours in a morph, you stay forever. In his mind and heart, Tobias is still a human being -- mostly. But he has the body of a hawk and he lives as a hawk.
Ax is Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. He's the sixth person in our group. He's even less human than Tobias. Ax is an Andalite. Tobias swooped down to be closer. He landed on the top edge of a stall door. He checked out the many cages. At the moment we had, in addition to the raccoon, a fox, two wolves, a handful of various bats, a really cool porcupine, a pair of jackrabbits, a deer that had been mauled by a bear, several doves, a goose, a swan cygnet, a whole group of assorted gulls, a beautiful red-winged blackbird, and a barn owl.
Tobias didn't look too happy. But then, Tobias has a hawk's face, so he never looks anything but fierce. Once he was a very sweet, slightly dopey kid. Jake and he met when Jake stopped some bullies from sticking Tobias's head in the toilet.
"Yeerks?" Rachel wondered. "But why would the Yeerks want to be logging in the forest?" The Yeerks" plan was all too obvious. "They want to destroy habitat," Cassie said. The Yeerks are right there in our forest. Fine," Rachel said with her usual enthusiasm for anything dangerous. "Let's go take a look." "If this is a Yeerk operation, we have to be careful," Marco said. "They're expecting us." "They split up, go in two groups in different morphs. They see what they see, but they do nothing. Ten minutes later, Marco and I were walking across the far fields of my farm, wading through tall grass toward the edge of the forest.
The forest is huge. It reaches all the way back up into the mountains. Thousands, maybe millions of square miles of pines and oaks and a scattering of birch trees sweep down from the mountains all the way to the edges of town. Our farm is right on the edge. Lots of farms are, and some new housing developments and so on.
There was a cool breeze, loaded with the smell of wildflowers. Two of our horses were grazing off across the field by the fence. It was a safe area, so we let the horses run free at night in nice weather. Of course, now that wolves were being reintroduced into the forest, we might have to change that. A wolf pack can bring down even a healthy, strong horse. I know. I've been a wolf. And I was getting ready to be one again.
They shoved our outer clothing under some brush, and she began to morph. She focused her mind on the wolf whose DNA was a part of her. Marco and Cassie was actually the identical wolf. They had both absorbed the DNA of the same female. The wolf's instincts began to surface, but she had done this morph before, so she could handle them easily.
In this novel tells us about Marco, Rachel, Jack, Tobias and Cassie were in the forest. From the cloud the Elfangor was watching them to know about their power that he gave.  Tobias with Rachel was to show up their power, without knowing their friends, they look like different. Tobias was disappeared. Yeerks was controlling them with their mind. They almost get caught by the net but Ax was saving them.
They were running on sensation, their heads swimming with smell and sound and sight. There was nothing within a thousand yards that they didn't know about. They were plugged into the data stream of nature itself. They smelled the logging camp long before they reached it. Then they heard the sounds of machines. And they heard the murmurs of conversation. Human voices. Then they got a reminder that they were not the only hyper-alert predators in the forest.
On the back-and-side ground levels there were no windows. None at all. There were windows on the upper level, but they were dark. Too dark for Cassie to see into. There were blindingly bright spotlights mounted atop the building. The forest had been cut back a hundred feet or so on all sides of the building, and the bare, scarred earth all around was lit as bright as the sunniest day. A dozen or so huge pieces of equipment were parked neatly side by side. Earth movers, oddly shaped cranes, trucks, and some monstrous thing that looked like a huge kid's toy. Cassie guessed that it was used to cut trees.
They had reached the far edge of the forest, back close to the farm. Marco and Cassie had demorphed. Rachel and Jake flew down and joined them. Tobias took up a perch on a low branch. Ax stood nearby. His two stalk eyes moved continuously, side to side, peering into the dark woods around them. His two main eyes met Cassie gaze.
They met at the mall. It was a Saturday, so it was a normal place they might be. When he live in a world where they’re surrounded by possible enemies, it's important not to do anything too unusual. They don't want to draw attention .Not even from their own family and school friends. They just never know who can be trusted and who can't. The Yeerks believed they were Andalites. They wanted them to go on believing that. If they ever figured out they were humans, let alone kids, they were toast.
Her parents don't usually ask her a lot of questions. Mostly they trust her. And it used to be they could trust her. She doesn’t think she lied to her parents before becoming an Animorph. Now it's like she lying all the time. It's a rotten feeling.
Cassie imagined being that termite. Crawling across the gigantic hand. Thinking every crease in Rachel's palm was as deep as a ditch. When Rachel was done, Cassie held out her own hand. It was shaking. It was shaking and she couldn't stop it from shaking. The brightly lit mall food court suddenly seemed dark. Lord, that tiny insect scared me. Deep down inside, it truly scared her.
In the end of chapter they decided to go that night.  They were supposed to use the afternoon to deal with chores and family stuff and homework. They try doing homework in a few hours. Try concentrating on math when you're thinking you have to turn into a termite and sneak into heavily defended buildings.
Cassie talked for a while as to her father, made rounds together. But her heart wasn't in it. She was thinking about some baby skunks, mewing and crying for their mother. And she was thinking she wished her dad wasn't so quick to let her go to Rachel's. Because, of course, they weren't really having a sleepover. Rachel was going to tell her mom she was spending the night at Cassie house. And Jake would tell his parents a lie, and Marco would tell his father a lie, and they all be going into a situation that none of them wanted to be in.
Jake have came back to his group. Marco is sarcastically talking to him. The same five kids who had wandered stupidly through a construction site at night on our way home from the mall.  They have changed their live and seem like several Soldiers in a terrible war we could not really hope to win. Ax was there, too. Poor Ax, who was even more alone than the rest of us. He was in his own body, his stalk eyes restlessly peering in every direction. They all started to remove our outer clothing.
Then, Jake tells his plan. They morph owls to get close. They demorph at least two hundred yards away from the compound. Then they Crawl close, morph termites, dig under the force field, and enter the termite holes in the outside of the building."
They start to transform become owl. Ax was morphing quickly. His tail went limp Feathers were growing to replace his fur. The rest of members also doing transform become owls. Suddenly, it was no longer night. It was as bright as day. The amount of light that was a dim, flickering candle to their human eyes was a spotlight to their owl's eyes.
Tobias is still sitting on his branch. They couldn’t go because he was bad at night. They flew in a loose formation, flitting through the trees. I swooped and zoomed through the trees. All the while I watched the ground below me and focused my hearing, and in that way I reached the Yeerk’s compound without having to think too much about what was coming next.
In the way of their journey, they heard the sound of skunk.  They felt really strange having two feelings as human and as a predator. As a human they want to rescue the skunk, but in the predator, they want to eat it. They start to demorph quickly and get closer to the compound.
Then, they morph become members of yeerks.  But in the middle of the journey Jake was change his mind. He want to transform become a wolf. They walk separately. Yeerk is actually same like cockroaches. They have a society like ants, but roaches are closer relatives. They eat cellulose. But before their do transformation, Cassie felt on the ground and totally blind.
Cassie is transform become a cockroach.  As same as the other.  The termites are blind, except for the queens and kings. The termite legs were not very strong or very fast. Not as fast as an ant's. I could feel the rocks I was climbing over. Or the grains of dirt, I guess they were. They felt like rocks, anyway. The termites get closer to them.  They all realized that they are in termite’s colony right mow.
They raced swiftly down the tunnel.  In the tunnels wall, there are some pulps of woods that contain several informations. The colonies Hormones have passing, it’s containing information. Vague orders. Indistinct yet powerful instructions. They also get their instruction in their tunnel.
Cassie was influenced of his termite’s brain. She force her self to  become aware again. When they get have recognized his humanity, a big termite come, getting closer, and sh recognize that it was the Queen.  He was in the chamber of the termite queen. She had orders for me -- protect the egg-carrying worker termites. The orders came in smells and vague feelings, but they were impossible to refuse.
Marco, ax, Rachel are also in her controls.  Cassie yelled so hard, but they did not realize her. By the time, they can realize her. To go out form the colony they have to defeat the Queen. But they couldn’t do it. But my body was not my own. I could not make it...
Cassie wanted to demorf become an human, her friend pretend her to do that. Cassie have already demorf as a human, but the size is too tiny as a termite. After she go out from the wood, her own body comes back.  It was dark in the room, but there were glowing red-and-green indicator lights. And there was a computer monitor showing neat screen-saver triangles floating and reforming. They are realized that they’re inside the Yeerk’s building. They all are trapped on it.
Cassie felt worry with her family. Their family does not know what happened to her this moment. In her mind, “I have been more animals than many people ever see in a lifetime. I have flown with the wings of an osprey. I've raced through the ocean in the body of a dolphin. I've seen the world through the eyes of an owl at night, and smelled the wind with all the keen senses of a wolf.” They are talking about their experience, they compared between before and after they had ability to morph as an animal.
Cassie was sad frustration. Rachel gives her encouragement. They start to think the way to go out from the building before the Yeerks recognize them.
From the story, Cassie went to the skunk’s lair because she cared about those skunk’s babies. She transformed into skunk and give the food to the skunk’s babies. Cassie fall in love with them. Because of her love for the baby skunk she fell asleep with them and forgot the morph’s time limit. Suddenly Jake woke him up. He said that Cassie has transform for almost two hours. Marco also there with Tobias in the three. Marco and Tobias argued with Cassie but Jake stand before her. Cassie felt strange because she feels she was being used in the group. She felt tired of fighting. Jake explains that this is not just for human being this is for all human own good.
Later the next day, Marco, Rachel, Ax and Cassie chatted about how adorable the Skunk is. They planned to keep the skunks. They have a plan to protect the skunks by shifting the members each. Ax will morph into skunk’s mother and Tobias patrol above. They had little joke to melt the ice from the intensity of the yeerk. Cassie thinks that she was crazy because she save a bunch of skunk instead of another extinct animal.
The next two days, they protected and nurtured a foursome of baby skunk. Marco started to like them and begin to give them names. Cassie takes the foursome baby skunk for a walk, because they look so wonder how the outside world might be look like. They follow Cassie who morph into skunk all four in line in orderly fashion. On the middle of the street suddenly a dog come with the drooling mouth. Cassie shot the skunk’s spray into the dog and it fell. The dog owner came and bring it home. All four of Cassie’s friend laughed because what just Cassie did was disgusting. In the distance they heard a sound of machine which is use by Yeerk. Cassie and friend made a plan to save their Skunk by snatch a guy named Farrant and try to slow the machine that cutting of the tree down.
Tobias and Cassie was left in the skunk den, while others went to snatch guy named Farrant in the Yeerk logging camp. They talked about how morph can related to their human sense. They transform into a bird and looking for foods in the river. They saw Farrand on the road with a couple of man with him. They saw one of them is Visser Three the only yerk who can morph He was using human DNA and human form as part of his plan to enslave all of humanity. They attack the Yeerk. Cassie attack the Visser and Tobias attack another. But their attack was failed and visser shot them.
Cassie woke up in a small box with holes. She can see the old Farrand lying down the floor. Vissers turn on the force field in order to protect him. She treated to kill farrant to make his way out. Visser afraid that he couldn’t use Farrant so he told his man to lie down their weapon. Visser told to his man to aim at the box to kill the candalite. Cassie already aim at Farrand and ready to fire. The both fired, but Cassie take the first shot.
From the story above, the characters are in a forest. They want to reach the Yeerk logging camp. They have only one way to reach it so Jake, Marco, Rachel, and Ax leave Cassie and Tobias. While the other left both of them, they are talking about Tobias live. He tried to tell Cassie about his feeling and his real life in daily life. Cassie accepted Tobias naturally. All of kind of god’s creating have a right to live, whether it is a human, hawks, or the other. And then, they went to fly high of the trees. When they were flying, they saw a vehicle coming down the road. In the vehicle, there are three guys and they are controllers. So they reach the camp in a few minutes. And they know that the three guys is Visser three.
Visser three is the leader of the Yeerk invasion of the earth. The only Yeerk in all the universe to have taken control of an Andalite body.  The visser three are going to take Farrand. Farrand was walking toward the visser three, still waving his hands widly toward the heavy chinery that was chewing through the trees. Visser three was smiling with a bad smile. Suddenly, Tobias were aware, where were Jake and the others. They wouldn’t know the Jake’s position and the other. Tobias came to visser three and hit one of the guys from the jeep. Cassie Jake was closing in fast, a black and orange streak. Beside tht Rachel and Marco were on the controllers operating the machines. Ax run to help Rachel from the guard. And finally, a dispute was happened and then everything went black.
Visser three took them into box. Cassie and Farrand want to free from the box. She heard Visser Three ordering the perimeter defenses and to make sure to destroy anything that got out of the box. Farrand and Cassie looked for the weakness of Yeerks. Farrand tried to looked for visser weakness. The weakness of visser three is he needed Farrand alive. By threatening to kill Farrand, will threaten the visser’s plan.
One Controller reports that the Animorphs have now turn the machines against the Yeerks, so the Visser orders the force field be turn on. Cassie thinks over what to do next, the others were still fighting and had turned the machines on the Yeerks, but the force field would render them useless and Visser Three would then call for reinforcements, and they would be done for, but she doesn't give in, this was a game of predator and prey, what could she use against them? Just then, Farrand moans and Cassie knew exactly what to do, she quickly demorphs and morphs into a skunk, she hears that the force field had stopped the machines and Bug fighters with reinforcements will be arriving very soon, he had them this time. Concentrating hard, Cassie thought-speaks to Visser Three, trying not to reveal that she was human. She warns him that she'll kill Farrand, because she knew they needed him alive for their plan to succeed. Visser Three understood and has the Controllers surround the box, Cassie takes position as the door opens. Visser Three laughs in amusement at the chubby, cat-sized black and white in the box that had its back to him and it tail raised to him.
Cassie then fires several times and hitting the Visser and the Controllers run for the outside get away from the horrid skunk smell. Outside, the force field is still on, but the tree-cutting machines were now strained up against the force field and the Animorphs, in their battle moprhs, had defeated the Controllers. Ax spoke to Visser Three, stating that they've reached a standoff, if the force field came down, the machines would destroy the building and would probably kill Farrand, which neither side wants, but the Visser wouldn't be bargained with, as he has forces in the way to help, but Ax questions how the Visser's Blade ship will smell once once the skunk stench is introduced. However, if they let Farrand go free, they'll give them the secret on how to neutralize the stench. Knowing he has no other choice, Visser Three orders his men to get Farrand, once he's dropped off at the nearest hospital, they'll reveal the secret, and Tobias will be watching to make sure they don't try anything. After Farrand is dropped off at the hospital, the Animorphs tell Visser Three about a certain kind of juice that will eliminate the smell, and he screams in fury as they disappear into the woods.
The next day, Jake, Marco, Rachel, Cassie, and Ax brought the mother skunk back to her den and Jake said it's now safe for them. He had spied on Farrand in fly morph, revealing that he's fine and he's voted against the logging of the forest, in fact, he didn't want anything to do the Yeerk's logging company. As they headed back home, Jake hung back with a confused Cassie, asking her what was bothering her. She explained how did the whole law of nature thing made sense and whether to just live by it, or if she's different because she's human. Jake didn't know at first, but he answers that she's both, but Cassie didn't feel like that was much help, which means that human are still partly wild animals, doing whatever it takes to survive, and partly something more than the other animals. Jake then says he does know all animals take care of themselves, only one animal has the intelligence and to save all the others. Just then, Tobias appeared. He came back from checking in on the Yeerks. They've dug a big pit and filled it with juice. Visser Three has been in it for most of the night and for the whole morning, but he still stinks and is now purple. It turns out that the juice they told the Visser would get rid of the skunk smell was not tomato juice, but grape juice, and they all break out laughing.

Hello All.
We are the new members of Reading Circle Community (RCC) from English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the second meeting.
In this second meeting, we discussed a novel, Animorphs Megamorphs 1: The Andalite's gift by K.A. Applegate

Here are the summary of the novel that we discussed:

Introduction 
Jake is an Animorph, one of five special kids, plus one Andalite- an alien. They were such a kind of special kids who had a power to morph into any animal they can touch. Six of them used their power to against the Yeerks. The Yeerks who want them dead were their enemy.  The Yeerks were a species of parasites – little slugs which crawl inside human brain and make human do whatever they want to do- make human stop being a true human being. When it happens to someone, she/he will be a controller. Jake’s brother, Tom, is one of them.
Rachel is Jake’s cousin, but at first, they did not really see each other, except at school. She lived with her mom and her two little sister. Cassie is her best friend for a long time. She and the others Animorphs were not a group yet until that night when they hooked up together at the mall and decided to take a shortcut through an abandoned construction site off highway. There, they saw the alien for the first time. That is where they learned about the Yeerks threat. And the Andalite, Prince Elfangor, who gave them the power to morph. Prince Elfangor died leaving them a burden to fight with the Yeerks. Thatwas when they became a group, and the name “Animorph” was given by Tobias.
Marco is Jake’s friend even before they get that power. Marco thought that he is the smartest one, the cute one, and the funny one. Jake is the bossy one, Cassie is the nice one, Rachel is the stupidly brave one, and Tobias is a bird.
Tobias used to be a dork boy. He used to get bullied from some punks, until then Jake came and saved his life. He has changed since then. But now, he is not completely human anymore, nor completely a hawk.
The Animorphs can speak in “thought-speak.” It was how Ax speaks because he is an Andalite. Ax does not have mouth, has semi human torso and face, has deadly scorpion Tail, and has four eyes. Two of his eyes are normal, and the other two eyes are on his head stalk.

Plot
That Friday evening, Jake, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, and Tobias were in Cassie’s barn, the place where they used to get together. Ax wasn’t there because he isn’t in his human morph. Rachel was talking about her plan to cancel her planning to go to a gymnastic camp. But, the other suggested her to do it, because they think the entire of their life cannot be about Yeerks all the time. It is time to be normal and enjoy a nice, normal weekend.
In the next morning, Rachel walked over to the school. The bus to the camp will come in an hour. But, she decided to meet Tobias in the woods before she left. She did not found Tobias. She thought that she should morph into an eagle.  She then flew high and dropped toward a tree, paying attention to a nest which of baby bird. Then the other bird came and mobbed her, thought that this eagle attacking their nest. She flew faster and faster till she hit the tree trunk. She fell down and almost unconscious. While told herself to morph out.
In the other place, Darlene held a swimming pool party. All of kids in the school are invited except Marco because he ever did a mistake in the previous Darlene’s party: floated a Baby Ruth bar in the pool. He decided to sneak into Darlene’s party as a mouse, and dragged Ax to involve with him. Tobias help them looking for the mouse whose DNA will be absorbed by Marco and Ax to morph in to a mouse.
Jake and Cassie were in Darlene’s swimming pool party. Suddenly, the girls especially Darlene screamed. Jake thought that it was the Yeerk’s attack. But it was not. There were two stupid mice were hunting Darlene.
Marco just wanted to know whether Darlene talked about him or not in the party. They hide under Darlene’s chair. Darlene did not say anything about Marco, then he decide to whisper the word “Marco” in to Darlene’s mind. But what was said by Darlene made Marco got mad. He then scampered right onto her foot, destroying the party. The party was ruined. Everyone was making lots of noise and mess.
Soon, Jake and Cassie knew the mice were Marco and Ax.  Then, Marco and Ax decided to run quickly into the basement to demorph.While they were demorphing, the entire roof had been ripped away. They saw a gigantic creature was ripping the house. Everybody frozen when they saw a swirling cloud of dust like a tornado suddenly come. As theirdemorphing was completed, it began to disperse, became dust again.
In the wood, Rachel woke up. She got amnesia, and confused why she looked like a half human and a half bird. She panicked but quickly able to control it. She told herself that she was a human. She began to concentrate and demorph step by step. She soon lost her concentration because of the coming of a strange cloud. She focused again. The process of demorph was continued. Just above the trees, a cloud of dust swirled wildly. She felt that the cloud was watching her, but she keep focus to demorph.
Rachel still focused to demorph. She opened her eyes and saw the whirling blades above her. She ran as fast as possible while demorphing to be a complete human. She scared and screamed even though nobody could help her. She saw the road wherecars were flashing by. She ran. A car shot past. Then a truck hit the beast. Rachel tripped and rolled down into dirty water. The truck shredded by the beast. The beast rose and saw Rachel, but it did not recognize her. The beast then dissolved into a cloud of dust. Rachel stood up and she was muddy and wet and barefoot.
Jake, Marco, Cassie, and Ax were in Cassie’s living room. They were watching special report about the frightening cloud. It showed the location where the cloud came; Darlene’s house and the freeway near the woods. Suddenly they saw Rachel in that video. Cassie tried to call to Rachel. This was Jordan, Rachel sister, who answered the phone. But she said that Rachel was still in the gymnastic camp. Even Cassie tried to conceal the fear, Jake know that   something wrong had happened. Rachel was definitely not at camp.
Rachel has been walking in the forest for hours for nothing. She walked with bare feet and tried to remember what had happened to her. She forgot everything including her name,actually not everything. She knew that she could have feathers, beak, and the legs of birds. She also knew that she might have enemy that looked for her. That’s why she stayed in the deep of the woods even though her house did not far from the forest. Then she saw something which is bright yellow in the deeper of the woods. She followed it. The bright yellow is a cotton ribbed top. Suddenly she knew that that yellow top might from the Limited, a department store’s name. She tried to concentrate to know more and dug her memories up, but the result is she could not remember anything. She looked at a shack which is very old. She duck-walked to see the front door of the shack, and the door opened. She thought to go to the inside of the shack, but suddenly a voice of an old shabby woman surprised her. The woman was insane, but did not look dangerous, that carried a canvas bag with her. She walked to the inside of the shack then Rachel followed her without any expectation. Then a surprising thing is that inside of the cabin is a pile of clothing in three feet. The clothing seemed dirty, filthy, get burned, but some seemed fine.
Knowing that the old woman was insane, Rachel has a stupid cruel idea that benefits her. Rachel asked the woman if she had a pair of shoes or not while Rachel picked up a chunk of pine bark from the floor and said it was a “credit card”. The old woman stared at Rachel then smiled. She let Rachel to look for the shoes in the pile of the clothing. Rachel looked for the nearest pile. The old woman suddenly asked something weird whether Rachel is one of them that refer to word “Yeerk”. Finally, Rachel found the shoes which are not a match pair, but they are better than being bare feet.In the same time, the old woman had opened atrapdoor in the floor of the shack. Rachel started to rise from her crouch, holding the shoes. The old woman shouted the word “YEERK! YEERK!” while shoving, clawing, scratching, and screaming at Rachel. The old woman thought that Rachel was Yeerk that took her husband and children. Now Rachel is in the beneath of the shack, screaming out to the old woman to let her out of the there. But there is no answer.
In the different place, Jake and Marco went to the place where the dust beast had attacked Rachel. Both of them went to the forest and they met with Tobias in bird morph, preening his feathers in the branch of the tree. Tobias told Jake and Marco that Ax was a mile back and he did not see Rachel in the forest except an insane woman that live in the shack at the deeper of the woods. Jake and Marco planned to morph. They used wolves morph because wolves ran fast and have a magnificent sense ofsmell so that they can smell where Rachel was. The first change was the fur, gray and shaggy and as rough as carpeting. It sprouted from his human skin in a wave that rippled down from his neck all across his body. Morphing did not hurt at all.After they finished the morphing, Tobias yelled suddenly said that “It’s coming”. Jake and Marco did not need to ask, they looked up at the sky then they see the dust storm was blowing just above the trees.
Rachel was still in the beneath of the shack. She yelled out at the old woman and said that she was not Yeerk and asked to let her out of there. Not longer after that, she smelled smoke. It was a cooking’s smoke. It was a shack. The shack got burned.The fire spread with stunning swiftness. In less than a minute there were tongues of flamedripping down through the chinks in the floor above Rachel. She could hear it snapping andpopping. The smoke poured down in gusts and then blew away, only to come back stillstronger. She needed power to break out. Power enough to shatter the rotted logs. Then Rachel suddenly began to change. Something which was large and huge. Heavy dark brown fur was growing from her arms and legs. Rippling, massive muscles bulged from her armsand legs and swelled her neck. It was an incredible, giddy rush.
Whereas Rachel began to morph into a bear, Marco and Jake also have already morphed into wolves. Marco felt the strength of the wolf and the sense intelligence andinstincts of the wolf's brain. Jake looked scared, the beast of a hundred mouths and a hundred whirling blades came for them. The beast shredded the trees. Jake and Marco ran.Wolves have a good speed, and incredible endurance. A wolf canrun for hours, all day if necessary.The beast dropped to just a few feet abovethe ground, leveled off, and came after them. Thetrees were close together. Too tight for the beast to fit through, so it simply shreddedanything in its way. Not longer after that, Marco smelled smoke and a human’s screaming voice that was not far from them. The beast also heard the same voice then it turned away from Jake and Marco and it turned toward the place that smelled of fire and smoke.
Right now Rachel was in a flame because of the burning shack. The logs broke from the force of her huge body which had turned into a grizzly bear. But Rachel still did not realize that she has been changing. Until, finally, she looked down and saw front paws where hands shouldhave been. Her paws were covered in coarse brown fur, very shaggy. Then there is a creature like walking razor blades. It attacked the bear, which was Rachel. She roared. She swung her massive paw at the hoveringbeast.But then, a second flash of movement. Another animal, racing swiftly toward her. Rachel saw a new creature which was actually Ax.
Ax is a Kamulite, not an animorph like Jake, Tobias, Marco, Rachel, and Cassie. But they were friends. They got along with together because they have same purpose and enemy which was Yeerk. Ax has been promised to meet with Jake, Tobias, and Marco in the forest in order to find Rachel. But then he smelled smoke, he decided to followed the place where the smoke was. However, suddenly the dust monster was coming and Ax run till finally he found the place where the smell of the smoke. He also saw a huge creature formed a Grizzly bear. Ax then remembered that there is no bear in this forest except Rachel has turned into a bear because Rachel has a bear morph. The bear swung a massivepaw to the dust beast. It was a blow that would have knocked Ax’s head from shoulders. A blow thatwould have punched through steel.The claws raked the dust beast's closest mouth.Rachel bellowed in pain from her awful wound, but she struck again. Still standing erectand defiant, she struck again with her other paw. Now, her two paws were gone. Rachel's bear was one of the mightiest morphs we had. And she wasdoomed. Ax was very sorry because he could not save Rachel. While Rachel was crying in pain, suddenly, the beast stopped. It lifted Ax and Rachel. Right now, Ax knew where it was taking him. He knew the purpose of the beast. He realized that he knew its master's name.
No longer after the beast brought Ax and Rachel, Jake and Marco reached the place where there was a smell of the smoke.The stench of burning wood was everywhere, but Jake could still smell blood. Something hadsprayed blood over a wide area. A bear. He smelled the powerful scent of a bear. He sniffed the ground again. There are two different humans.And something else ... a strange, alien smell. A smell like nothing I could imagine. Until he looked at the tracks: sharp hoof marks, which was Ax. Then Tobias went to Jake and Marco and said that he saw the bear tracks head north. The bear only has hind legs like the bear was walking erect. Jake and Marco were surprised as if the bear was Rachel it means she hurt a lot. No one can win the bear except Yeerk. Then Jake decided to meet again in Cassie’s barn, so he asked Marco to remorph and have dinner with his father then came back to Cassie’s.
Jake asked Cassie to find out where Rachel was because Cassie was the person that knew Rachel the most. Then Cassie looked for Rachel in the gym, café, and even her house. However, there is no Rachel in those places. Then she remembered that Rachel liked shopping a lot, so she went to the Mall where Rachel used to go. In the mall, accidentally she saw Chapman, the assistant principal at school. If this dust creature was linked to the Yeerks, he would know. He was also one of the highest-ranking Controllers. The slugwho lived inside his brain was an important Yeerk.Chapman would know. Following him had to be more useful than just wandering aroundthe mall. Cassie decided to be a housefly which she can easily spy on him. Chapman went to the book store; Cassie followed him and went to the employee’s bathroom to do morphing. She began changing. One minute her head was like four feetabove the floor. Then, suddenly, her head was only two feet above the floor. Then one foot.Six inches. One inch.It's like falling. And it seems like the floor was rushing up to slap you. Her legs were shriveling down and turning into fly legs.Two new legs exploded from her chest, just at the bottom of where her ribs hadbeen. The legs shot out of her like huge black worms. They grew daggerlike hairs andformed joints, and became as hard as plastic. Finally, she beatedherpowerful wings, and escapedfrom the bathroom by zooming neatly beneath the crack of the door. Once out, she shot quickly up for altitude and safety. And headed for Chapman.
AX. The dust beast carried him up and up. He could feel gravity tugging at him. He could feel momentum as he moved faster and faster. He could see nothing. He could only hear a swirling sound. Yes, now it detects only the specific type of energy released during morphing. But it cannot feed on that energy. Oh, no, no. he didn't want it to shred Andalites. He didn't want it to eat it. He wanted to have it here. With me. So he programmed his Veleek to eat only the energy they feed it from the engines of this ship. Clever, isn't it? The Veleek senses morphing, attacks, but brings the morphed to him in order to get its true food.
He jerked his hand in a signal to his soldiers. Throw him to the cage. Watch him. If he escapes, each of him will die. Oh, and have the Veleek fed, then release it. Let it go to find him more Andalites. He wouldn't want their young Andalite to be lonely. The Hork-Bajir grabbed him roughly. Visser Three turned his back and walked away. He had not struck. He had been face-to-face with his brother's killer, and he had let him walk away.
On the other event is about Cassie. She beat her fly wings and zipped under the door. The bottom edge of the door was like a ceiling to her, and then she was out. She flew straight up. She means, straight up. Like a rocket. She yelled to no one. There was just one problem: Chapman wasn't doing anything but looking at books. He flies brain got edgy just staying in one place, so he dropped from the ceiling, pivoted in midair, fired up my wings, and took a quick, wild ride around his head. It was Chapman. Almost for sure. For the next twenty minutes he just stalked him on his slow progress through the bookstore. He zipped around him, always staying out of reach, occasionally resting on the spine of a book or rocketing back up to the ceiling. After twenty minutes or so, it was all starting to look like a pretty stupid idea. He was supposed to be looking for Rachel, who might be in some kind of trouble. And instead he was staring upside down at Chapman's scalp. A man and a woman were talking to Chapman. Understanding speech is difficult, with the hearing flies have available. Fortunately, he had been a fly before. So he knew how to translate the vibrations the fly felt into "sound."
Then Rachel thinks the pain would have killed her, if she had been human. But she was not just human. She was the bear. And because of the bear's strength, she held on. Her front paws were gone. Chewed off by the terrible dust monster. Blood was everywhere. She could not walk like a bear. But she could wallow along on two legs, until she had gotten far enough away from the terrifying creature. She found a stream, no more than a foot deep and three feet wide. She sank down into the water and tried to change. Get a grip, Rachel, I told myself. At least you know your name. And you know that you have some very weird powers. And you know you have some very serious enemies. This was not reassuring. The dust beast would have destroyed me. Except he'd been distracted. By the alien.
Marco said it: I'm a predator. When I hunt, I look for movement. I chase what moves. Same as a cat. If the prey stays still, it's harder to see. If I listen and I don't hear movement, it's the same thing. The hawk's brain is wired to pay attention to the sight or sound of movements. Both attacks at the very time you were morphing," Cassie said. "The very time. Interesting coincidence."We all just pretty much didn't say anything for a few seconds after that. I was trying to think through what this would mean: As long as I didn't morph, I was safe. As safe as a mouse who stays frozen.
Back to Rachel, “I reached civilization. Or at least, I reached a suburban development. Maybe it wasfamiliar, I don't know. Maybe I'd been there before. I didn't know that, either.What I did know was that my feet were scratched and torn. My legs were aching and sore. My entire body was sore. I was hungry and thirsty and scared. And I was tired beyond belief.I needed sleep. I could see lights on inside many of the homes I passed. For a while I considered just walking right up to the front door of any house and saying, "Look, I don't know who I am.” Then he saw the house with no lights on inside. There was a sign on the front lawn that said sold. He crossed the damp lawn, which felt wonderful to his sore feet. He peered in through a front window. No furniture. It was empty.Humans did not dream of being ants. Dreams that were so real you could feel the hugegrains of sand pressing in, the airlessness, the terror, the eerie vision of swarms of ant scrawling over you, ripping you apart.
Jake told that “Our meeting broke up with all of us mad and scared and upset. No one wanted to believe that Rachel and Ax might have been killed. Ax was a new friend, sort of. And an alien, not someone we had grown up with. But Rachel was my cousin. She was Cassie's best friend. And we looked up to Rachel. She was fearless. She made the rest of us braver than we might have been without her.” After that, "I'll walk you guys to the road," Cassie said. We walked in silence down the long driveway, then down the dirt road that connected the farm to the highway. Marco and I pushed our bikes, and the only sounds were our footsteps and the rattle of Marco's bulky bike chain.”
And Rachel story tells that if the cops were still outside pounding and yelling and ordering me to come out.So I decided I'd better do what they wanted.I aimed for the front door. Not that the front door was going to be big enough. But I figured the front wall would be just about big enough. I could If eel the morph progressing. In a minute now, as soon as the morph was complete. The unpredictability of the incomplete morph had resulted in a huge creature with a long trunk, tiny, human ears, big elephant legs, and blond hair.
Jake pushed open the door and climbed out of the truck. He was clumsy because he had legs that were not human and not tiger, but some weird halfway mix. His hands were furcovered claws that could barely work the door handle.But Jake piled out and jumped into the back of thepickup. The good news was Marco had gotten out of the neighborhood, so he couldn't destroy any more trash cans.The bad news was he'd gotten onto the highway.The truck plunged off the road, jumped a ditch, slammed through a wire fence, and aimed straight for the trees.Branches scraped at the sides of the truck.
It is summer, so the Animorphs plan on not doing anything. Rachel is going away to a gymnastics camp, but before she leaves, she morphs an eagle. While she's flying, she's mobbed by a bunch of crows and crashes into a tree. When she wakes up, she has amnesia.  Jake and Cassie go to a pool party. Marco is annoyed that he wasn't invited, so he and Ax sneak in using mice morphs. After chasing the hostess around and nearly getting stomped on, they hide in the house and demorph. Suddenly, the party is attacked by a monster from the Cthulhu Mythos. This is the Veleek, and it trashes the house before just randomly leaving.
The Animorphs realize that Rachel is missing, so they go to the forest to look for her. When they morph wolves, the Veleek attacks again. But once they're done morphing, it leaves again. This is about when they realize it is drawn to morphing. Rachel meets a crazy lady who is heavily implied to be a freed Controller. She tries to burn Rachel to death, but it's Rachel so she's fine. Rachel morphs a grizzly bear to escape, and so the Veleek attacks her. Ax spots them fighting, only to be captured by the Veleek, which literally lifts him up and flies him back to Visser Three.
When Rachel morphs an elephant to run down some police officers, the other Animorphs spot the Veleek going to attack her. So they decide to steal Cassie's dad's truck and incite an epic game of keep-away. During the confusion, Rachel gets her memories back. The Veleek attempts to capture her the same way he captured Ax, but the elephant morph is too heavy for it to lift so it takes Marco instead.
Aboard the Blade Ship, listening to Visser Three exposit, Ax morphs into a flea and hides on Visser Three's body. When the Veleek comes back with Marco, he starts demorphing, which prompts the Veleek to attack Visser Three. Ax and Marco are able to escape, also learning that the Veleek is vulnerable to water. The Animorphs have had enough of this nonsense, so they come up with a plan. Cassie morphs into a roach and has Tobias drop her into the ocean from high up. On the way down she morphs into a human and then a humpback whale. When the Veleek tries to grab her, the whale is far too heavy for it to hold, and so it is pulled down into the sea and destroyed. Cassie sings a whale song and everyone is happy.
When I first saw pictures of the Animorph books , I thought," Oh, Man.That is one sick series. No one will ever catch me reading one of those,". And now look at me; The craziest, wackiest, most addicted, Animorph fan EVER! Megamorphs #1 is one of the best Animorph books I've ever read! It's a real challenging book, not only for the Animorphs, but for the readers as well. You've got to admit, it takes a lot of brainwork to keep up with the plot. Mrs. Applegate, if you ever see this, I will die slowly of Kadrona starvation if you ever stop writing this series. You are the best author I ever think I will know of. Megamorphs are always fun to read. Visser Three tries to capture the "Andalite Bandits"(Animorphs)by using a creature from Saturn that gets attracted to morphing power. This disastrous thing causes the seperation of the Animorphs in different places. They try to get back together, but Rachel loses her memory and Ax gets captured. The other Animorphs don't know where these two are. The final show down with the monster is exciting. Marco's jokes are all very funny in this book. Young science fiction lovers will run to the bookshelves to get a copy of Animorphs: the Andalite's Gift by K.A. Applegate. The setting you will encounter in this book is mostly the forest. Every book has exiting characters but not as exiting as the characters in this book. They are Jake, Cassie, Rachel, Tobias, Ax, Marco, and Visser Three. There is major conflict in this book. It is between the Animorphs and Visser Three's Yeerks, which are slugs that can control your brain.
This book is a must read book because when I read it I was addicted to it. It is extremely interesting. The book puts pictures in your head. It also makes you think it's real. If you watched the TV show and still didn't understand it the book will help. If you still don't know if you're going to read it you should read the back and take my word for it!
The author of this book seems very creative. The author is female and writes kids' books. One interesting fact is that you don't know if one book leads to another one. You should really check out this book and check out some other Animorphs books.
This book was full of action, emotion, adventure, and curiosity for the reader. Like when Rachel loses here memory, or when the Animorphs decide what to do about the Veelik. And is seems impossible to destroy the Veelik. This book is probably the BEST Animorphs ever. Rachel gets mobbed while taking a fly around the block. She slams into a tree and falls to the ground. She wakes up and her total memory is gone.
Visser Three gets a dust beast that can track morphing energy. Ax tries to save Rachel when they find her in the forest. She had morphed her grizzly bear and was almost dead. That is why Ax tried to save her. He success but gets caught by the beast who takes him to Visser Three's Blade ship. School's out for the animorphs. But that does not mean that the evil yeerks are going to stop controlling people's minds or chasing the kids (or andalites) with the abilities to change into any animal they touch. But Rachel has gone to a gymnastics camp she signed up for before getting into the whole mess. She decides to fly a little before going away. She is attacked by sparrows or something and crashes into a tree. When she wakes up she has lost her memory and guesses she is some freak of nature. The other animorphs have a little problem of their own. Each time they morph a dangerous Yeerk creature comes to capture them.
As always, I'm here with another viewpoint if someone like parents, teachers, etc. might be curious about an adult's point of view on the series. Megamorphs is the first of the series which steers away from the threads of something a little deeper which have been in all the other books to date (growing up, friendship, family, etc.) However, I still give this book the highest possible rating for other reasons. It's the longest one of the series up to this point, and Applegate kept her story together with a smooth, exciting flow which keeps the reader guessing. I was in my early twenties, and have read everything from Tolstoy and Dickens to Peanuts and Garfield. I figured it out, eventually, on the first read, but I wasn't all that far ahead of Ax when it was revealed by the plot itself. Rachel has to deal with a memory loss, Cassie with thinking she's a coward, Jake with keeping them together, and all of them with this dust beast which seems intent on destroying or capturing them. Marco's wit, as always gives a great laugh. The plot is creative, well thought out, and not too far out in left field (even for its target age group) for a sci-fi book to make it totally unbelievable. All in all, this is a very good read for a high action, mysterious, entertaining, and cohesive story for the target age. It can certainly be enjoyable for ages many years beyond 12, as well.
The truck hit Rachel’s back right leg in a construction site at night. She saw a spaceship landed; it is the Yeerks, the alien. A barn full of animals in cages was there. There was Birds, Foxes, Squirrels, Racoons, Bats, and Cassie (Rachel’s friend). She remembered that she was flying on wings that seemed to stretch forever. She had been an eagle. Marco’s said that Animorphs.
Rachel tried to open her elephant eyes. Cassie came to Rachel and said that it had taken Marco. Then Rachel was morphing back to human. They thought the way to run away from two Bug Fighters (One Hork-Bajir, one Taxxon). Both were Yeerks. Rachel thought that they needed morphs that can move fast. Cassie suggested that they could acquire owl morphs. They morphed into owl and flapped their wings. Suddenly, a large creature dropped from the hovering Bug Fighter, it was Hork-Bajir. They flapped their wings with desperate energy. Then something big flew through the air and Hork-Bajir went down. It was a huge tiger, Jake (their friend).
On the other side, Marco was morphing a gorilla that felt from a height of two miles with Ax. A minute later, they were no longer a gorilla and a flea falling. Then, they turned into human and Andalite falling. The ground was no longer below them. Ax asked Marco to morph into a bird because he could acquire an osprey morph. Then the wind snapped his wings back, straining every muscle, and he blew at ninety miles an hour, just inches off the freshly painted blacktop.
Jake and Cassie went home, while Rachel spent the night at Cassie’s home. On the morning, Jake was very surprised to see Marco at his room. He thought Marco was dead, but Marco was there. Marco asked Jake to lead the Counterattack. Jake should clean the garage because his parents forbid him went out.
Everyone was there, Cassie, Jake, Rachel, Marco, Tobias and Ax. They talked about Veleek. They knew that Veleek was sort of an insect swarm, the swarm forms into this beast that chews through anything, Visser Three has altered this creature to serve his own purpose, the Yeerks reprogrammed the beast to hunt for morph energy, but to eat a different kind of energy and the Veleek chased morph energy, brought the morph to its master, then was rewarded with energy from the ships. They discussed the way to defeat Veleekand Yeerks. Suddenly, Cassie suggested one way that only she could do it. She blamed herself a coward because she let the Veleek took Marco. At first, Jake and others did not agree with her, but finally they agreed.
Tobias told Cassie that he found something that could them to defeat Veleek, it was a whale. Cassie and others swam and morphed into a dolphin. Veleek chased them, but Veleek did not like water, so it just flew them above the water. Then Cassie concentrated to acquire a whale, she tried to think as a whale then she did it. She had morphed from human to dolphin to human to cockroach. She rode Tobias’s back as a cockroach. Tobias was a hawk morph. Tobias flew as high as possible, and then Cassie felt down from Tobias’s back. Then Veleek turned its many mouth toward the sky.
Cassie morphed again into a human, she tried to concentrate to morph into a whale, but she was very tired. The Veleek was very closer and fired ropes of dust at her. Rachel, Marco and Jake could not see Cassie. They really worried that Cassie could not change into many morphs at the same time. Cassie tried to think about a whale and instincts of whales were coming. Then she morphed a whale and kicked the Veleek into the ocean. Finally, the Veleek was gone. Rachel, Marco, Jake and Tobias were very happy to see Cassie was fine.

Comment: 
As I read the novel about Animorph, I feel very interested in to read the next novel about Animorph. It is an amazing novel because I really like something about animals. The story is told by each part of the person involved. It is a clear story. It is very interesting how the writer describe the situation. I can feel the real situation when the people in the story change into a morph. I think, I will have a dream become a morph after I read the novel.
On the other hand, I do not really like the ending because the ending is not clear, I think. I am a person who likes something finished clearly, not a hanging ending. It makes me frustrated in reading the ending. Luckily, I did not tear the novel because I do not like the ending.
Overall, I like the novel.

Hello All.
We are the new members of Reading Circle Community (RCC) from English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang.

Now, we'd like to tell you about our activity in the first meeting.
In this first meeting, we discussed a story, “Amictus The Queen Bug” by Adam Blade.

Here are the summary of the story that we discussed:

Chapter 1: The Horrible Truth
The story was started with a boy named Tom who standing in front of the mirror to see his reflection. Hethought he was so foolish. He didn’t know why his nose become tilt and his eyes become strenght burning whenever he saw his reflection. He just had fight with a Sea Monster in the first Beast Quest, and Tom was wounded by the monster. He got serrious wound because of the terrible poison of the monster.His kin, Freya, gave her blood to cure the wound.
There was Elenna, who had bruised head, she jaust regained consiousness. Silver, Tom’s wolf, came trying to give warning to Tom. Tom tried to calm it dow. However, he was so anxiety. He had so many question on his mind about Freya that left him. Then Velmal, the evil appeared. Velmal said thet Tom’s mother never thought about him. Tom didn’t trust the evil. A wizard said thet Freya’s heart is riddled with the evil, she didn’t want to bee good. Further the wizard said that Tom’s mother didn’t want him.. Velmal then gone.
Then another vision appeared to Tom and others. Tom triend to train his sword, but he let it to fall to his side. The vision was Tom’s father, Aduro. He said sorry to Tom aboyt the way Tom had found. He said sorry because Freya’s secret had been revealed to Tom. He asked whether Tom could still face the Quest.
Tom said that he would never give up to the Quest. He then started to go out of Gwildor with his friends, Elenna, Silver and Storm by riding Storm. Tom had the responsibilities to do the Quest.

Chapter 2: Local Hero
Tom and his friends back to the way they’d come, towards Gwildor’s mining town. They were going to return shoopkeeper’s mirror. On the way they took a rest for a while. Tom had found his prize for the last Quest against Trema, the Earth Lord: a diamond-encrusted mirror to go with the pearl, gold ring, pair of gloves, and set of scales that he had retrieved on earlier Quests. Elenna asked about the mirror, then Tom said it will be replaced with the diamond from the mine.
On their way, they saw many people were looking at them. They didn’t know why they did that. One of the people said that , “It’s him.” A woman tried to get closer to Tom. Elenna asked to go then. They came to the shop.
In the shop Tom and Elenna tried to explain about shoopkeeper’s mirrror. However, it didn’t matter for the shoopkeeper anymore. He was so happy that tey could be back. In addition, the shoopkeeper saw a book to Tom and Elenna. That book was very old and unreadable actually. However, it can be seen that there was an image of Tom and Elkenna, also Silver and Storm. That was trhe second time for Tom to see such image. The last was from a lady in Gwildor that called him The Son of Gwildor.
Tom shocked, he went outside the shop. Tom realised that he was a son of gwildor. If this was Freya’s kingdom, his mother, it meant that the boy on theimages was him.
A crowd of people had gathered on the street. Tom went to the main road.Tom pointed Storm out of town. Ahead of them lay the kingdom of Gwildor. Tom had blood tie to the people in the Gwildor, so it was up to him to save the land from Velmal. No Quest had ever meant more, and he had a feeling that the next Beast would be the most cunning and ferocious yet.

Chapter 3 “A Golden Crest”
Tom and his group rode out the town. When they crossed the street, the townspeople were standing along the street, welcoming them, and encouraging them. After they were far from the town, Tom put out the his silver amulet, on the other side a map of Gwildore that had guided Tom to every Quest in Gwildore, as well as helping him tracks the prizes that helped him liberate each Beast. In the map they watched two paths magically formed on the map on the picture of The Rainbow Jungle. Then they went to the south. When they arrived on the edge of the jungle, the saw heavy jungle. Tom looked at his amulet and saw two path, one path headed to tiny picture of brass telescope. The other path headed to a small insect. Amictus! That is a kind of insect foe. Tom put his amulet away and gazed between the trees. Elenna, Silver and the Storm followed him. Suddenly a giant butterflies flew above them and make them shocked. A huge parrot stretched its wings as it settled on a branch, repeating what Tom said and flew away on rainbow-colored wings. They continue the trip until Tom suddenly stopped. They saw a huge ship which is mossy and ancient sail in rags from the mast. Tom wondered about the ship, because it’s far away from the coast. He was very surprised when he saw a painted of King Hugo’s crest, from Avantia.

Chapter 4 “Treasure”
Tom turned into the animals and to stay when Tom and Elenna roamed the ship. The next Freya’s prize is a telescope. He looked around searching for it. Tom peered down and spotted a glint of metal. Elenna cried to him to take it. Because they were running out of things to barter with, but Tom did not want to take it. Ellena looked for an arrow and found the arrowhead that was made of sharpened flint and shafl was polished rosewood. It was very precious to Ellena. There was still one object on the box, a beautifull brass telescope, inlaid with ebony diamonds which is Freya’s prize. After he put the telescope, the ship groaned and lurched to one side. Elenna reached Tom’s hand and helped him out, the telescope gripped in his arms. Tom launched himself from the deck to the jungle and pinning the telescope to his chest with his arms. Tom examined the telescope. He looked through the smallest lens but there was nothing different. He was wondering whether the lens was broken, but when he saw again, he saw two beetles pushing a dug ball between them on the ground. They were normally too small to see with naked eyes. Tom asked Elenna to see what he had saw. Elenna was very surprised. With Freya’s prize they can see things that are normally camouflaged that is the opposite of Tom’s magic rings that allowed him to be camouflaged. Silver and Storm joint them. Tom took the telescope to his leather beg which is all prizes there. When they enjoyed what they had found, evil laughed over the tree that make tom angry. He promised that while there’s blood in his veins, he will defeat Velmal and free his mother.

Chapter 5 “ Hiffen Fury”
In this chapter, Tom and Elenna went to a jungle to find the Beast. They climbed into strom’s saddle they plunged onwards through the jungle. Tom used his charming telescope to see the surrounding. Once, when Ellena try to use the telescope, she saw an endless row of lilac-coloured eggs along the forest floor. The eggs were beautiful and Ellena got closer to the eggs and touched them. So did Tom. At the time they were close to the eggs, they heard sound from behind them.  Tom tried to check it, but he found nothing. Then, he took his telescope and looked around. Tom saw Amictus, the last Beast of Gwildor.
Amictus is the perfect disguise for a giant green insect. Tom could not see the Beast without any help from his telescope. Amictus attacted Tom and Elenna because she (Amictus) is the mother of the eggs. She got anger to them and lunged again which caused Tom’s telescope clattered. Tom’s flanks was kicked by Amictus and it made Storm ran out to help Tom from Amictus.
Amictus watched Storm and she was smelling the sallion’s scent. Tom have to be hurry to decide which prize would help him defeat Amictus. Then, Tom chose the golden ring and slipped it into one of his fingers and help out a hand. Gradually, Tom’s body was disappeared and be invisible. Elenna and Storm cold no longer see him but they could still hear his voice.

Chapter 6 “Birth of a new enemy”
The story continued when The Beast jumped into a place where Elenna hid. The Beast reared above her, a huge barbed calw ready to slece her into two. Tom took a run to grabbed Elenna’s hand to avoid Amictus’s attack. Amictus failed to kicked Elenna out and her claw sank into the tree tunk deeply.
Then Tom asked Elenna to hide in a spot where Amictus could not find her. Storm and Silver are also with Elenna. At first Elenna refused it because she could not let Tom faced Amictus alone, but Tom could ensure Elenna to let him.
Tom got his invisibility with him while Amictus was still bent over the eggs. Then The Beast that tried to smell Tom’s body moved to look for Tom. She could not see Tom’s body because Tom’s body was invisible. When she got closer to Tom and her giant head whipped around and dipped low, Tom attacked her face after he abandon his invisibilty. Amictus’s body crashed to the ground. Then Tom thought Amictus was die and he got closer to the giant. Unfortunately, The Beast pretended and then kicked Tom’s calf and spikes sank into it.
Then the Beast sound filled the jungle caused the eggs cracked and hundreds of tiny insect burst into the air. Amictus trill with pleasure. Tom could not react because more insects surronded him. Amictus moved closer to Tom and swiped a limb at Tom’s body and sent him crashing towards the bush where Elenna was hiding. Then, Amictus and other new insects moved away. While staring at the cloud of mini-beast, Tom saidthat he would find a way.

Chapter 7: Jungle duel
After his plan did not work, Tom tried to find a new way. He looked up to see elenna emerging fom her hiding place with a grim in her face after used the shield to swat the babies of Amictus. Slowly, the insects swarmed away toward their mother. Then, elenna noticed something that the babies are also enchanted by Velma in the way that their mother is with the babies dancing joyfully in the air around their mother. Tom agreed with elenna that thought that they were not evil, they just protective which reminded tom with his parents that would fight to the death on their behalf.
Tom had an idea and took that shield from elenna then went to find Amictus alone with elenna hiding at that place. As he tried to get closer to Amictus, the insects turned to face him. He was attacked by hundreds of tiny claws and just heard a warning cry from elenna. Because the insects tried to attack him again, he tried to use the shield to protect him. Unfortunately, the insects sunk their claws on the shield and took the shield away from him and stole that shied - The shield with six magical tokens.
Then he turned around and saw Amictus in a huge boulder moved toward him and ready to fight with him. Tom stood frozen, but there was nowhere to hide. When the beast-Amicus tried to attack him with her claws, Tom reached out his hand into a tree and leapt from one branches to another branches. Amictus tried to swipe her claws to the branches to attack Tom. She roared with frustration because she her claws stucked in the riped fruit. Then her babies came and protect their mother but they did not attack Tom. They saw Tom crouching in the branches made them hesitate. Amictus tried to instruct her babies to attack Tom, but they did not move. It seemed like they did not want to attack him. Elenna was right for saying that Velmal’s curse had not tainted the blood of the young. Then, he got an idea again.

Chapter 8: One on one
Because the babies of Amictus did not want to attack Tom, it was time for them to fight one-on one. Tom tried to leap into another tree. He jumped and jumped running away from Amictus with the Amictus struck out with her giant claws. Amictus kept telling her babied to attack him even though the babies did not move. Actually Tom wanted to get closer to Amictus, but the poison of her claws prevented him. May be just his invisibility could help him some day.
He pressed his body closer to the tree and barely moving. Then, with his braveness, he peered out into the jungle. he heard Amicts roared and baby insects bobbed in the air.  Amictus tried to attacked him again with her claws, but luckily it just hanging out in the fruit next to him. Amictus went to him nearer and her huge head swiveled above him. She slamed her claws into the ground in frustration.
Tom took advantage of this situation, solely he reached his hilt of his swords. In order to hinder the Beast attention, slower Tom unsheathed his sword. Then, in one swift movement he raised his blade toward the poisoned claw. Unfortunately, Amictus glanced down, and sent her claws in rapid until Tom flew through the air and straight for Amictus’s mouth! He tried to go out from there with spreading his arm and flipped his body over. But it was othing because he got trapped.
Desperately, Tom snatched two babies of Amictus  and held the babies closer to his ches in order to make Amictus would let him go. But Amictus did not do that. Amicus’s mandibles was closing tighter and Tom was hard to catch breaths. He really thought he would die. There was no one to be seen that could help him. The quest was over and he never would see his friends and find the truth about his mother again.

Chapter 9: A Mother’s Love 
There is a man, named Tom, who had an impossible fight with a Beast. The name of the Beast is Amictus, that is a bug that became a monster because of Velmal's magic. Because of that, Amictus killed her babies and many people. So that, Tom as one of the villagers of Gwildor would like to kill Amictus. Not only to kill Amictus, but also he would like to find his mom.
Tom almost gave up in that fighting, because every arrow that he released to the Beast couldn't stab the Beast body. In the middle of the fight, Tom almost lost his energy to fight the Beast, but soon, he heard Amictus keen with pain. He came to Amictus that had fallen with head leant back and her eyes were squeezed shut on the floor of the jungle. That was an impossible fight he had ever got. Elenna, who is Tom's friend, told that Amictus became a Beast because of Velmal's magic, and she was fighting in velmal's magic. Velmal had put the poison in the claw of the Beast, so that the Beast itself would like to released that poison from her body. Then Tom understood that the Beast didn't want to  her own kin. The only way to avoid their deaths is to force Velmal's poison out of her body.
Using his last energy, he tried to reach the thorn which is sticking out  of Amictus's skin. He was trying harder and his fingers grappled the air as he stretched out. Then Amictus waved her claw near to Tom. Finally, he reached the thorn out. The point of the thorn jolted out of Amictus's claw and tore open the casing with green, foul-smelling liquid frothed out and traced a path down the claw. Meanwhile far below the field fighting, Elenna, Silver and Storm tried to get out of the poison path. Tom didn't want his friends to be tainted by Velmal's poison. After all the poison has been released from Amictus body, she finally released her grip on Tom and the baby insects. Tom looked into Amictus, he saw her face creased into what almost looked like a smile. Then, Amictus began to stand up and walk around the jungle.
 In the end of fighting, Elenna hugged Tom tightly. She was relieved that Tom was still alive. Then, Tom gently held Elenna's arms and take her away from Amictus. From the below, they saw Amictus gently gave her claws to her baby and floated in the air with small cried of pleasure. "If Amictus can fight off Velmal's magic, then Freya can do the same," said Tom loudly. Tom still believed that his mother would be free of Velmal's magic.

Chapter 10: New Realms 
Tom had fought with Velmal, who is the evil wizard in Gwildor. Tom saw his mother, Freya, looked pale and strained because Velmal held her hands in powerful grip. Velmal asked Tom to give up and let Freya with him. If Tom refused his favor, he would like to kill Tom's mother. Tom didn't want to see his mother die, but he also didn't want to let his mother stay in Velmal. When Tom looked into his mom, he saw Freya gave a small nod as a sign to Tom to stay strong to do what he want to do. That is all the encouragement that Tom needed. Then he believed and became stronger to fight Velmal.
Tom began to challenge Velmal, even though he noticed that it would be difficult to fault down a wizard like Velmal. Because Velmal could use his magic freely, whenever he want to help his self. Tom tried to encourage his self to fight Velmal and got his mom back. But what Tom have worried happened. He couldn't defeat Velmal, even he almost died in the fighting. Velmal freely used his magic to fight Tom. Tom almost couldn't find any idea to defeat Velmal, even he fought until the end.
Velmal laughed as he felt he already won the fighting. Then, he asked Tom to stop and gave up because Velmal was not Tom's evil fair. Meanwhile, Tom still in his believing that he could defeat Velmal. Then, Tom remembered the ruby in belt, the gift from Torgo the Minotaur. Through the ruby, he could communicate with Beast. Soon, he pull the ruby from his belt and held it high up in the air as he call Amictus loudly. "Amictus!" he cried. For a moment, the jungle was silent. Then there was a deafening crash as the giant insect heaved her body against trees. Her clow tore up a huge tree trunk, ready to hurl it at Velmal.
Unfortunately, as an evil wizard, Velmal use his magic to run away from the Beast. He sliced his hand through the air and then make a swirling portal of rainbow colors. Then the circle of light narrowed into a tunnel and gracefully arced away through the jungle leading. Velmal also gapped Freya's wrist and gagged her toward the light. And soon, the portal was gone and nobody knew where they go.
Tom felt so guilty because he fault to save his mother. Without thinking it over, he would like to jump into the portal, but his friends forbid him to do it. His friends tried to encourage and told him to make a new world. All the questions about his mother would have to wait and a new Quest had begun.
